Arts Advocacy Day is just a few weeks away on April 23! Are you coming?
Registration for April 23 legislative visits is now closed but you can still come to the morning portion of the festivities! Join us for the Arts Advocacy Day Rally at the Capitol on the South Side of the lawn from 9am-12noon. And of course you’re welcome to do your own engagement with Arts, Culture & Creativity Month! Please join us and share with your network.
Let’s advocate, connect and mobilize this upcoming April 23 to advance the arts across California. See you there!
Legislative Visits Tuesday, April 23, 1-5pm*
We are thrilled that over 150 advocates have signed up to join for Arts Advocacy Day. We will assign you a delegation Captain and plan your visits to legislators. After April 10th, we will be sending you an Advocacy Toolkit and before the 23rd you will receive a document on what we are advocating for in the form of a Summary of 2019 California Legislature Requests.

Arts Advocacy Trainings
Plan to join us on the 23rd but did not attend an Advocacy Training?
Led by Californians for the Arts Executive Director Julie Baker and Advocacy Committee Chair Sofia Klatzker, this 60 minute training will equip you with tools to effectively communicate with your local, county and state representatives, give you other ways to engage in your community including sharing your Arts Impact Story, and hopefully inspire you to become an Arts Advocate and join us in Sacramento on April 23!
We will also do abbreviated trainings the morning of April 23 when we meet at the South Side of the Capitol.
